Dear Rays,

Summer is just around the corner, so it’s time to register for the upcoming Summer 2022 Water Polo Season! All players are required to be registered and fees paid before playing. There is a no pay-no play policy and we will apply a first in first assigned to a team.

Competition Details:

Summer competition is scheduled to start at the end of January 2022. Knowing it's a busy time of year, WPNSW requires us to register our teams at the beginning of December 2021.  

We are excited to announce we will be back in the pool for training on the week commencing 6th December. We will also be hosting a clinic, for which a separate email will be sent.

Sydney Rays Members log in: ** New for our members **

The club has introduced a new member log on, this login will provide access to the member's area on our website. When you register, the system will automatically generate an email which will be sent to the primary email you have given us. This email will have your member username details and a step to set your password. It’s important that you do not lose these details. Summer Season Registration Process

You will need the following to register:
    •    If you have played before, please have your national ID ready 

    •    If you are new to Water polo, you will not have a national ID, please register following our link https://www.sydneyrays.com/registration/

    •    Active Kids Voucher (AKV - to obtain the voucher click on the following link: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher

    •    Apply any other Sydney Rays vouchers to “Discount Code”


Important Note: For all junior players (under 18), a parent must also register as a “parent supporter”. Please “register” or “renew” (with your existing national ID number) on a new form (https://www.sydneyrays.com/registration/) and select registration type as: ‘2021-2022 Parent/Supporter” at $0. 

Fees

The total cost breakdown for each player for the 2021/22 Summer season is detailed in the table below. 
NOTE: Capitation is non-refundable as this fee is collected by WPA for insurance

Sibling Discounts:

If you are registering more than one player per family, your first child will pay a full registration fee and for all siblings, a discount is offered. Select registration type based on age group with the “_Sibling” identifier. For example, for a U12 sibling select “2021-22 Summer Junior Boys U12_Sibling”. 

How the fees have been calculated:    

   •    Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) & Water Polo Australia (WPA) Fees - known as capitation fees are set independently of the club. The fees cover the governance required as part of the club’s incorporation, insurance, sport development programs, and system administration. These fees are a fixed component of the registration fee and are an annual membership fee.

Uniforms & Merchandise:

All members require club uniforms to compete in the Sydney Metropolitan Competition. Please purchase through our online shop: https://www.sydneyrays.com/shop/. Uniforms will be issued on training nights. If you are unsure of sizing, please refer to the size chart or there will be an opportunity in early December to try on uniforms.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Registrar (registrar@sydneyrays.com) prior to completing the registration process as we are not able to refund incorrectly selected fees due to capitation fees being non-deductible and being paid directly to WPNSW. Similarly, we are not able to apply discount vouchers after the registration payment has been made.

The club can’t survive without parents volunteering to help, so please sign up during the registration process. The Rays Club Committee is looking forward to welcoming you all to our club for the summer 2022 season.
