We Support
The Club Executive Committee has thoroughly reviewed the Club’s finances to arrive at the current season’s fee structure. We understand that Water polo is not a cheap sport, and we try hard to keep our costs down. We hope you understand we are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers.
In addition to this, we are looking for sponsorship, applying for sports grants, and hoping to run more fundraising activities in the near future to contribute further to keeping costs down.
There are two components to water polo fees:
1. WPA and WPNSW Capitation Fees
2. Rays Club Member Registration Fee
Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) & Water Polo Australia (WPA) Fees - known as capitation fees are set independently of the club. These fees are a fixed component of the registration fee and are an annual membership fee. The fees cover the governance required as part of the club’s incorporation, insurance, sports development programs, and system administration.

Operational Costs - Pool / Training / Game Competition
• Pool costs - We cannot play water polo without a pool
• Training costs - Our Club commits to supporting quality coaching to develop our members. This includes the education and development of coaches, coaching costs, referees, and equipment.
• Competition team entry/game costs set by WPNSW - venue hire, officials, etc.
• Website hosting and marketing
• Equipment supplied - balls/caps/etc required to train and attend game compeitions

** The WPA/WPNSW capitation fees are automatically applied. This will apply if you have not already paid capitation e.g played in the Summer season.
• The registration payment can only be made via credit card, which is a mandate by WPA, therefore, we need to pass on these charges of 2% + $0.60.
